Metriks Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: September 9, 2026

Metriks uses account, fitness, health-related, purchase, and social information to provide workout tracking, metrics, Rep Assistant responses, subscriptions, and sharing features. We do not sell personal information or use HealthKit data for advertising.

1. Scope and Contact

This Privacy Policy explains how Ian de Oliveira, the operator of Metriks ("Metriks," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information through the Metriks mobile application, websites, widgets, notifications, and related services (the "Service").

For privacy questions or requests, contact metrikssupport@gmail.com. Metriks is operated from California, United States.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

Profile, fitness, and health-related information

Apple Health and device health data

If you authorize Apple Health or HealthKit access, Metriks may read the categories you permit, such as workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, body weight, or related fitness data. You control HealthKit permissions in Apple's system settings. Metriks does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or unrelated data mining.

Social and friend information

Purchase information

If you buy Metriks Pro or another paid feature through Apple, Apple processes your payment. We may receive product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, original transaction identifiers, renewal status, expiration dates, and related purchase metadata needed to provide, verify, restore, or cancel access. We do not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.

Technical, device, and support information

3. How We Collect Information

4. How We Use Information

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information as follows:

We do not sell personal information. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Firebase, Cloud Storage, and Security Rules

Metriks uses Firebase and related infrastructure to store and sync account, workout, profile, social, purchase-entitlement, and app data. Firebase security rules and app code are designed to restrict access to the appropriate signed-in user or authorized friend features. The app may also keep an on-device cache so previously loaded pages can appear quickly and work during temporary network loss. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, and maintain backups. Some cached data may remain temporarily on your device or in backup systems after deletion.

8. Account Deletion and Your Choices

You may update account or profile information in the app where available. You may request or use app tools to delete your account. Deleting your account may delete or anonymize workout, profile, social, and related records, subject to legal, security, backup, billing, and fraud-prevention retention needs.

Deleting your Metriks account does not cancel Apple subscriptions. You must cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

9. HealthKit Choices

You can grant, deny, or revoke HealthKit permissions through Apple settings. If you revoke access, Metriks may stop receiving new HealthKit data, but data already stored in your Metriks account may remain until deleted according to this Policy.

10. Notifications and Social Sharing Choices

You can manage push notifications in device settings. You can manage lift and PR sharing in Metriks settings where available. If sharing is off, future matching activity will not intentionally be shared to friends through Metriks social features. Activity that was already shared before a setting changed may remain visible unless removed, deleted, or restricted by Metriks.

You can report a shared workout and block its sender from the workout's menu. Blocking removes the friendship, hides that user's shared activity, and prevents new friend requests between those accounts. We may retain reports and related identifiers as needed to investigate safety concerns and prevent abuse.

11. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain uses of personal information. To make a request, contact metrikssupport@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

California residents may request information about categories of personal information collected, disclosed, or sold. Metriks does not sell personal information.

12. Children and Teens

Metriks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. However, no method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device and sign-in credentials secure.

Metriks may use account-linked purchase records, Firebase security rules, rate limits, validation, abuse-prevention logic, and local-device protections to reduce unauthorized access, spam, fraud, and excessive service usage.

14. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service or by another reasonable method. The updated Policy becomes effective when posted or as stated in the notice.

16. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to metrikssupport@gmail.com.
